Just like Canada, York University thrives on its multiculturalism, which is why we strongly encourage students at York to take advantage of the many opportunities to broaden their perspective and enhance their educational experience. We also encourage York students to go on exchanges to one of our partner universities and welcome international students to study at York for a truly Canadian and global experience.

York International is the central international education office of York University. It develops and administers global learning opportunities; provides programs and services for international students; and designs and coordinates co-curricular activities that internationalize the York community. The Office of the Associate Vice-President International's principal priority is to provide leadership and coherent vision to all international activities at York.

York University's English Language Institution's (YUELI) mission is to provide the highest quality English language training programs for international students who wish to improve their English skills for academic and professional purposes. YUELI runs a host of pre-university, undergraduate programs that offer conditional admission to York University. These programs are designed to a very high standard and serve 3,000 international students each year.
